Accountability and Growth Mindset in Coaching
Overview
When a coachee comes to you with a goal, they owe it to themselves to put the work in. It’s your job to support them as they take those all-important steps toward achieving it. You’ve also got to keep your word and deliver on any promises you make. There’ll be setbacks as your coachee moves forward. But supporting them, to see these as opportunities for growth, will help them to keep working toward their goal.
Creating accountability in coaching will make sure you and your coachees understand what’s expected of you. Coachees will trust you to do what you say you will. And they’ll feel a sense of ownership for their own progress. Understanding and developing a growth mindset in those you coach will help them learn from any setbacks.
