Overview

This course highlights the responsibilities around and consequences for alcohol and drug use in the workplace. It also aims to create an awareness of substance misuse and what you and the organisation can do if you feel you have a substance misuse problem. 

Objectives

In this course you will learn to:

• Recognise the signs of substance misuse
• Identify some tips for how to help yourself if you are, or think you are, misusing drugs or alcohol
• Outline your responsibilities around alcohol and drug use in the workplace
• Describe the negative impact alcohol and drug misuse can have on an organisation
• Recognise work-related situations where your employer would intervene and how they might handle cases of substance misuse
