Overview

A course designed to highlight the rights of and the possible health and safety risks that may affect an expectant or new mother in the workplace.

Objectives

In this course you will learn to:

• Recognise an employer’s obligations to workers of childbearing age, including new, expectant, and breastfeeding parents
• Identify specific workplace hazards that affect pregnant workers and new mothers
• Describe what to do when a work task poses a risk
• Identify easy ways new and expectant parents can continue to work comfortably and manage challenges the workplace might present
