Reablement
Overview
This course will provide you with an understanding of what reablement is and who can benefit from it. It will also provide insight into the differences between reablement and more traditional homecare. You will learn about the professionals involved in a reablement team and their responsibilities in assessing and supporting the individual.
This course will explore the elements of a person-centred approach in reablement (such as strengths-based, risk enablement, and effective communication). You will be introduced to various scenario activities based on real-life situations to illustrate how the reablement strategies covered can be put into practice. Finally, you will learn how to identify and overcome challenges or barriers the individual may face during their reablement.

Course Structure
This course has been designed in a non-linear and modular fashion which means you may complete the units in any order you wish.
The course will track your progress so don’t worry if you have to dip in and out. There will be a knowledge check at the end of course which will become available once you have completed all of the prescribed units.
