Reducing the Impact of Unconscious Bias
Overview
So let's get right to it - all of us have unconscious biases. Some of them are actually quite good and healthy. But some of our biases - specifically the ones that encourage us to favor one group of people over another - are not so good. That means we should all strive to do a better job of reining in the negative elements of our unconscious biases. But how exactly are we supposed to do that when we don't even know we're doing it?
That's where Reducing the Impact of Unconscious Bias comes in. This 4-part video-based training series will help you understand what unconscious bias is, why it happens, and how to mitigate some of its less-than-awesome characteristics. Unlike some unconscious bias training, this series will not fault you for doing something you don't even know you're doing. Instead, it will encourage you to be aware of something all of us do in order to take better control over it in the future.
And unlike pretty much all unconscious bias training, this video series is more entertaining than you might expect. Because we realized that if we made this stuff boring, you might unconsciously decide not to watch it. Or maybe you'd make that decision very consciously. Probably that one, actually.
