Managing Stress and Anxiety
Overview
This course is for anyone wishing to understand and apply the principles of managing the day to day causes of anxiety and how it impacts on stress in general. Content is evidence-based and follows information, advice and guidance used by professionals in the field of psychology and counselling. Applying the key learning points in this course can have a positive impact on your ability to manage (not eliminate) stress and anxiety.
The course is broken down in to 4 bite-sized units with the following titles:

- Making it Happen
- Resilience and Stress
Objectives
On completion of this course learners will be able to:
- Assess their own level of stress and responses to anxiety
- Identify key trigger factors related to stress and anxiety
- Apply evidence-based techniques for managing stress and anxiety
- Create a personal plan to manage stress and anxiety
- Overcome barriers to establish greater control of responses to internal and external stressors
- Explain how managing stress and anxiety can lead to a more resilient and healthier outlook
