Overview

This module covers safety at work, fire safety and safety signs, PPE, different types of PPE and correct safety monitoring. The aim is to help reduce the number of accidents and injuries in the workplace and to promote good attitudes amongst the staff.

Objectives

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

• Recognise why induction safety is important
• Understand your organisation’s safety procedures
• Assess, avoid and reduce the risks of fire
• Recognise the importance of PPE
• Appreciate why monitoring safety is important in the workplace
• Understand that your welfare is a top priority
