Equity, Diversity and Inclusion - Microaggressions
Overview
Microaggressions are engrained in our own unconscious biases and are surfaced in the language that we use. In this podcast, we visited Laura, a video producer, to discuss her experiences with microaggressions within the heavily male dominated media industry.
Objectives

- Distinguish that just because an aggression is small or micro, it doesn’t mean it cannot be harmful or have a derogatory effect.
- Demonstrate awareness of the language you use and how you may be exhibiting unconscious biases.
- Investigate what you can do to support a colleague facing an unconscious bias.
