Accident Reporting RIDDOR (Refresher)
Overview
RIDDOR stands for the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations.
RIDDOR helps build up a picture of the risks people face at work and therefore reduce the risk of serious incidents in the workplace, such as amputations, loss of sight or death.
By law, all UK employers must report and keep records about work-related deaths, accidents, and injuries, as well as work-related illness and dangerous occurrences.
This course aims to refresh knowledge on the purpose, importance and use of accident reporting for RIDDOR responsible persons.
Objectives
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
- Describe the purpose of RIDDOR.
- Identify the incidents reportable under RIDDOR.
- State the responsibilities for RIDDOR reporting and recall the methods for completing a RIDDOR report.
