Yellow Fever
Course Overview
Yellow fever is a serious viral infection spread by the bite of an infected mosquito. There are an estimated 200,000 cases of yellow fever, causing 30,000 deaths worldwide each year. The infection is largely preventable through appropriate vaccination. In this course you will learn what yellow fever is, how it is transmitted, and how to recognise and gage the severity of its symptoms. The course also covers treatment and Stamaril® (Sanofi Pasteur), the only UK licensed YF vaccine.
