Personal Fall Arrest System: Inspection

COURSE OVERVIEW

Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) Inspection training is for all employees that are required to wear and maintain PFAS for work. Learners will understand the different types of PFAS, proper care, inspection, and what to do when there is damage to the PFAS.

An interactive simulation allows the learner to inspect the harness and lanyard. Select the defects that could lead to serious injury in a fall. Sections of the harness can be clicked for a closer view.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Inspect a Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS);
  • Identify individual components of a PFAS;
  • Identify the types of damage that can be present on a PFAS;
  • Develop the knowledge of what to do when a PFAS is damaged;
  • Prevent injuries related to fall hazards.
