Managing Disciplinaries

Overview

While most workplaces report little to no serious conflicts in any given year, employee disciplinaries occasionally arise. The likely causes are often divided into 2 camps. The 1st is unacceptable behaviour such as stealing, consistent lateness, or bullying. The 2nd reason relates to performance in which an employee isn’t completing their job to a satisfactory level.

When it’s a minor issue, you might be able to settle the matter informally. But if it’s something more serious, it’s likely you’ll have to begin a formal disciplinary procedure that results in a hearing. If you’re fairly inexperienced in managing disciplinaries then don’t worry, this course has got your back.
