Child Safeguarding - Level 2 Refresher

Overview

This CPD-certified, level-2 e-learning course is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with children in their work or voluntary activity, and provides learners with a refresher on how to recognise child abuse, the forms of abuse, child development, responding to disclosure, acting on concerns, and reporting abuse – including a summary on new legislation and statutory guidance 

The course includes optional voiceover recorded by a professional actor. It is specifically designed to remind learners what the different types of child abuse are, what signs to look out for and what actions to take, using adaptive learning to tailor the content based on the learner's existing knowledge.

Course Content

  • What's New - A brief update on what has changed in terms of statistics, legislation and statutory guidance.
  • Types of Abuse - A recap on the four types of abuse – neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse – including an adaptive learning feature that tailors the content based on your existing knowledge.
  • Other forms of Abuse - Other forms of abuse that require particular knowledge including FGM, forced marriage, radicalisation, domestic abuse and child trafficking.
  • Risks to Children - A recap on child development, risks to children, disclosures, taking action, and duties and responsibilities.
