Course Overview

NOTE: This Fast Track course on Managing Difficult Employees includes the content from our two Bite-Sized courses:

  • Managing Difficult Employees Level 1
  • Managing Difficult Employees Level 2

It also includes additional Intro and Wrap Up units, and an Assessment Test.

This course has been designed to help anyone who manages staff to deal with the difficult employees that make life more difficult than necessary, and in a positive and productive way.

First we show you the most common types of Deflectors - that's people who don't share your ideas of team effort, and whose lack of dedication can only sap the strength of your team. Then we move on to Non-Team Players. These people may contribute, but they also have their own personal agendas. Next, it's Negative Personalities: how to prevent the different types of these people from dragging down your team's morale.

Finally, it's Trouble Makers. Here, we don't mean the types of outright rebels who can be dealt with through a disciplinary process, but the more insidious type, who work away from your gaze and sow discontent and disorder. They can often be beaten quite easily!

You should find many ideas in this course to help you, now and in the future, to take situations that often feel frustrating and turn them into positive outcomes.
