Overview

This course supports you to deliver great care for those who communicate through sign language. You’ll learn some everyday basic phrases in British Sign Language (BSL) to aid communication with individuals in your care and promote a more inclusive society.

Objectives

This training will enable learners to:

• Identify the main types of signing used in the UK
• Recognise the effects of hearing loss
• Outline what support you can offer individuals in your care with speech difficulties
