Keeping Children Safe in Education
Overview
Keeping children safe in education, commonly known as KCSIE, is statutory guidance that schools and colleges in England must follow. It relates to safeguarding students and prioritising their welfare. It’s updated regularly, to make sure it supports everyone working in the relevant environments to protect students from harm. You must be aware of what’s covered and what’s changed.
Everyone working at your school or college needs to understand their safeguarding responsibilities and how they’re covered in KCSIE. This course will walk you through what each part of KCSIE 2023 covers, so you know where to seek guidance. And it’ll explain the recent changes, so you know what’s expected of you.
