Overview

This course explores the differences between young people and experienced workers, preparations managers should take before hiring a young person, and the additional support a young person will require to stay safe while at work. 

Objectives

In this course you will learn to:

• Identify who is classed as a ‘young person’
• Recognise common hazards and risks for young people at work
• Appreciate contributory factors that increase the risks for young people
• Recall applicable best practice guidelines in relation to young people
• Take appropriate action to keep young people safe at work
