This course is designed to highlight the duties and responsibilities of a Fire warden.

Objectives

In this course you will:

• Identify the duties and responsibilities of a fire warden for fire prevention and containment
• Recognise the role buddies have when supporting people with PEEPs
• Identify actions that can help prevent fires
• Identify what to do if you discover a fire or the fire alarm goes off
• Recognise when and how to use different fire extinguishers if there is no other option than to use one

About the Course

Fire is a significant risk in the workplace - it has the potential to kill or injure large numbers of people very quickly and damage or destroy property. Fire safety management is essential to ensure: Fires are unlikely to occur; if they do occur, they are more likely to be contained; if they cannot be contained, everyone can escape safely. As a fire warden, it is important to know your role in fire safety management.
