Motor Neurone Disease (MND)

Overview
Welcome to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) eLearning course. This course will help you understand motor neurone disease and its effects on an individual’s life. It will also give insight into the different symptoms of MND and how the disease is diagnosed. You will be introduced to examples of best practice when taking a person-centred approach to supporting individuals with motor neurone disease. This includes using assistive aids and technologies, treatment options, the multidisciplinary team involved in their support, and effectively planning ahead for a potential decline in mental capacity.
By the successful completion of this course the learner will have gained an understanding of motor neurone disease and how to support individuals with MND
This course is designed for those working within the Health and Social Care sector who require level 2 training in motor neurone disease.
