Noise at Work: Identifying and Reducing Risks

Overview

Noise at work can cause damage to your hearing which is not reversible. An estimated 21,000 UK workers suffer from work-related hearing problems. Almost all these cases are completely avoidable with the correct control measures. The aim of this course is to ensure employees and managers understand the risks of noise exposure and their rights and responsibilities around noise reduction and hearing protection.

• Identify when there is a noise exposure problem in the workplace
• Identify the rights and responsibilities of both managers and employees with regards to noise
• Describe noise reduction procedures
