Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery

Overview

Human trafficking and modern day slavery are on the rise. In this course we learn what to be aware of when spotting potential victims, both adults and children, and develop a firm understanding of how these crimes happen across the UK.

Objectives

• Understand what modern day slavery and trafficking are
• Recognise the signs of modern day slavery and human trafficking in both adults and children
• Identify the common indicators of child trafficking
• Understand how to approach someone you suspect has been a victim

Audience

This course is for public sector workers, charity workers or anyone coming into contact with the public in a potential safeguarding role.
