Safeguarding the health and well-being of adults at risk of harm is a fundamental pillar of a fair and compassionate society. This means that we all have a responsibility to both help prevent abuse and to act quickly when we see it.
This online learning course cover key aspects of adult safeguarding including - what it is; who is at risk of harm; who might pose a risk; and where risks are more probable. It also identifies the legislation relating to safeguarding and explores different types of harm and how to recognise them.
The course concludes with a look at who is responsible for safeguarding, and the frameworks for implementing effective safeguarding measures.
This online learning course applies to all employees that come into contact with vulnerable adults and would be a useful course to include as part of onboarding training.
