Reading Comprehension
Course Overview
Reading for meaning is an important aspect of many jobs, especially those in customer service and other client-facing roles.
Being able to fully understand the structure, context and tone of an email will result in greater productivity and time saved.
In this course, we look at the benefits of being able to identify the component parts of an email and confidently understand how each part conveys meaning to the reader. We also explore tone and how recognising small details enables you to identify the intention of the sender.
To begin, we investigate the use of client questions and how you can pick out key questions and vocabulary.
Then, we unpack the structure of an email and walk you through the four key elements of a concise email.
Finally, we look at the tone of an email and how being able to recognise subtleties in word choice help you understand the intentions of the sender.
This microlearning course is an animated video, with audio narration and a multiple-choice post-assessment.
