This course offers a new way of developing functional maths capability for adult learners who want to use their English skills to solve everyday problems. The course provides online, interactive learning and practice materials which learners can work through independently and at their own pace. Making English Work for You offers a progression route for adults who have undertaken core English & Maths courses from the Everyday Maths and English suite. It is aimed at preparing learners for a different style of assessment to online multiple choice tests. It will prepare the learner for assessments which will test their ability to apply their knowledge to a range of scenarios unlike the current English & Maths tests which test knowledge acquired but not the application of it. Making English Work for You covers the requirements of the Functional Skills in English specifications at Level 2.
