Teenage Pregnancy

Overview

As adults who work with teenagers there are ways we can support them through pregnancy and parenthood that give them the best chance at success in later life. In this course we’ll cover what strategies to take and how to implement them as well as the causes and consequences of teenage pregnancy.

Outline Learning Objectives:

• Know what messages you need to convey to teenagers about sex and teenage pregnancy
• Recognise why pregnant teenagers need additional help 
• Understand the impact of teenage parenting on the parents and child  
• Be aware of who is most at risk of becoming a teenage parent

This course is for anyone working with children and young people.
