Chaperoning

Overview

This course has been designed to provide advice and guidance for the use of chaperones and the procedures that should be in place for consultations, examinations and investigations.

Objectives

This training will enable learners to:

• Recognise a chaperone's role and responsibilities
• Recognise patients' entitlements to a chaperone
• Follow correct protocol during intimate examinations
• Follow the correct process to raise concerns
