Sexuality & Relationships in LD

Overview

Many people with disabilities are unable to deal with their feelings appropriately or feel unable to ask questions about it. This course is designed to enable the learner to scope terms relating to sexuality and gender, to recognise the sexuality needs of individuals with learning disabilities and to discover the legislation relating to sexuality and relationships for those individuals we support.

Objectives

This training will enable learners to:

• Scope terms relating to sexuality and gender
• Recognise the sexuality needs of individuals with learning disabilities (so as to not discriminate against people or breach their human rights)
• Discover the legislation relating to sexuality and relationships for those individuals we support
