Overview

This RoSPA-accredited, level-2, e-learning course is suitable for duty holders and those with responsibility for health & safety.

The course includes optional voiceover recorded by a professional actor and provides certification upon completion to evidence the learning provided. It is specifically designed to teach learners everything from the basics of what legionella is and who is at risk to the specifics such as how legionella bacteria grows and what responsibilities the dutyholder has.

Course Content

  • What is Legionella - Brief history and source of the illness, legionella bacteria, symptoms of Legionnaire’s Disease, who is at risk.
  • How do People Become Infected - Where and in what conditions legionella bacteria grows, how humans become infected, symptoms and treatment of Legionnaire’s disease.
  • Prevention - The 2 key factors for preventing an outbreak, responsibilities of the dutyholder, how to carry out a risk assessment, your legal requirements.
