Asbestos Awareness

Overview

This pathway aims to raise awareness about the risks associated with asbestos and how it can seriously harm health for years to come.

This course will explore the most dangerous types of asbestos, where they are found and the precautions that must be taken to prevent the risk of exposure to asbestos.

When the learners complete all the activities in this pathway, they will be able to:

• Explain what asbestos is
• Describe the health risks associated with asbestos
• List where asbestos is most commonly found
• Recognise the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
• Identify the roles and responsibilities of dealing with asbestos
