Virus Prevention and Protection

Overview

Viruses are found everywhere in the natural environment and can be infectious, causing illness that can spread between people. This virus protection and prevention course looks at what a virus is, how to prevent a virus from spreading and actions to take should there be a viral outbreak.

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

• How a virus spreads,
• The chain of infection,
• Who is at risk,
• Good personal and environmental hygiene,
• How to report an illness.
