Young People at Work

Overview

You may be entering work for the first time or starting a job in a new workplace. The risk of injury in most workplaces are low, but you need to be aware of the hazards and risks you may face in your workplace. This module is all about safety at work.

Objectives

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

• Recognise the importance of inductions at work
• Recognise why workplace safety is so important
• Identify your legal responsibilities
• Find out what’s expected of you
• Recognise common hazards and risks and correctly assess risks at work
