Health and Safety for Directors

Overview

This short course is targeted at organisation directors and senior management, it aims to show directors their responsibilities regarding health and safety and that failure to meet their responsibilities for health and safety, could now result in imprisonment.

Objectives

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

• Recognise the costs of poor health and safety at work,
• Understand the importance of the Corporate Manslaughter Act
• Be aware that failure to comply with health and safety can result in fines and imprisonment
• Recognise the different responsibilities for directors
• Understand the Plan-Do-Check-Act framework
