Substance Use Disorder Advice (Signposts)

Overview

Drug use is a taboo subject. No one likes to talk about it because it’s a difficult subject to broach. But it’s not just something you can brush under the carpet. You need to know how to spot the signs that it’s becoming a problem and do something before it’s too late.

It’s no secret that drug use can come with serious long-term consequences. Not just for the person using them, but for the people around them as well. This course will give you some guidance on signs of Substance Use Disorder to look out for, and where you can go for help if you or a loved one needs it.

By the end of this course, you'll be able to:

  • Recognise the common signs of problematic drug use in yourself and others
  • Understand the importance of getting help with Substance Use Disorder
  • Identify resources to help with Substance Use Disorder
